About the role

We are modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. The project demands zero‑downtime migrations and a clean, maintainable codebase. You will work closely with senior architects to refactor core services while preserving existing functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Rewrite critical PHP modules using Laravel best practices
• Design and implement database schema changes in MySQL with zero‑downtime migrations
• Build automated tests and CI pipelines to ensure stability
• Collaborate with DevOps to orchestrate blue‑green deployments
• Document code and migration steps for future teams

Must-have skills

• Strong PHP experience (5+ years)
• Deep knowledge of Laravel framework
• Proficient with MySQL performance tuning
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment strategies

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with queue systems like Redis or RabbitMQ
• Background in legacy system refactoring
