MongoDB Specialist Needed for Database Migration

About the role

We are scaling our data layer for a high‑traffic SaaS product. The MongoDB Specialist will design, optimize, and maintain our NoSQL databases, ensuring performance, reliability, and security across all environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design schema and data models tailored to application needs
• Implement indexing, sharding, and replication strategies
• Monitor performance metrics and conduct query optimization
• Develop backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery procedures
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate MongoDB with APIs

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with MongoDB administration and performance tuning
• Proficiency in JavaScript and NodeJS for scripting and automation
• Understanding of data modeling best practices
• Familiarity with security controls and access management

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud‑hosted MongoDB services (Atlas, AWS)
• Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker
