About the role

Harbor Softworks is launching a greenfield SaaS product with a fully remote team. We need a Cybersecurity Analyst to design and embed security controls from day one, ensuring the platform meets compliance and resilience goals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for core services
• Define security architecture and hardening guidelines for Linux containers
• Implement automated security testing in CI pipelines
• Monitor logs, investigate incidents, and drive remediation
• Collaborate with developers to embed secure coding practices

Must-have skills

• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, and encryption
• Hands‑on experience with Python for scripting and automation
• Deep familiarity with Linux security modules and hardening
• Proven ability to perform vulnerability scanning and patch management

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud security frameworks (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, or Security+
• Background in DevSecOps tooling (e.g., Snyk, Trivy)
