Senior PostgreSQL Administrator Needed for Backup & Recovery Delivery

About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching an integration project that links billing, CRM, and internal APIs. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, tune, and maintain the data layer that will power seamless data flow across systems.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement PostgreSQL schemas supporting multi‑source data sync
• Optimize queries and indexes for high‑volume transactional loads
• Set up logical replication and CDC pipelines to feed MongoDB and MySQL targets
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API data contracts
• Develop monitoring alerts and automated backup/restore procedures

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Deep knowledge of performance tuning, partitioning, and replication
• Experience integrating PostgreSQL with billing and CRM platforms
• Proficiency scripting with Bash or Python for automation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for database containers
• Exposure to cloud services like AWS RDS or Azure Database for PostgreSQL
