Senior MongoDB Specialist for Performance Tuning

About the role

TechFlow Inc is launching a high‑performance data pipeline for a new analytics product. We need a MongoDB Specialist to design, optimize, and implement the database layer, ensuring scalability and low latency.

Key responsibilities

• Design MongoDB schema and data models aligned with business needs
• Implement indexing, sharding, and replication strategies
• Write aggregation pipelines and optimize queries for performance
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate MongoDB with Node.js services
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, providing root‑cause analysis

Must-have skills

• 3+ years of hands‑on MongoDB administration and development
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js ecosystem
• Experience with performance tuning, backup, and recovery
• Strong understanding of data modeling and ACID vs. BASE concepts

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for containerized deployments
• Experience with cloud‑hosted MongoDB services (Atlas, AWS DocumentDB)
