About the role

BlueSky Ventures is expanding its security operations team to protect critical infrastructure and customer data. As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer you will lead the design and execution of incident response processes and real‑time monitoring for a high‑traffic platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SOC playbooks for detection, analysis, and remediation.
• Configure and tune SIEM tools to reduce false positives.
• Lead threat hunting activities and investigate security alerts.
• Collaborate with engineering to embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide mentorship to junior analysts and conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Produce concise incident reports for stakeholders.

Must-have skills

• Extensive experience with security operations, incident response, and SOC workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems and network security fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud security, particularly AWS services.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms and log analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience with threat intelligence platforms.
• Certifications such as CISSP or GSEC.
