About the role

Orbit Labs is building a next‑generation automation platform to accelerate release cycles. As a Frontend React Developer you will own the UI for the new "Orbit CI Hub" module, driving the CI/CD and platform automation sprint that delivers faster, reliable releases for internal engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the React UI for the Orbit CI Hub dashboard, integrating real‑time build status via WebSocket.
• Create reusable component library with Storybook, ensuring consistency across the automation suite.
• Configure CI pipelines in GitHub Actions to automatically run UI tests and linting on each pull request.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to embed feature flags using LaunchDarkly for staged rollouts.
• Optimize bundle size with Webpack code‑splitting and lazy loading to meet sub‑2‑second load targets.
• Document UI workflows in Confluence and conduct knowledge‑transfer sessions with the QA team.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building SPAs with React and Hooks.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and hands‑on with GitHub Actions or similar.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, Material‑UI).
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest and React Testing Library.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerized front‑end deployments using Docker.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring tools like Lighthouse or Web Vitals.
