About the role

TechFlow Inc is scaling its data infrastructure for a SaaS product. We need a Database Administrator to ensure high‑availability, performance, and security of our relational and NoSQL databases. This contract role is fully remote and offers flexible scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL instances.
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and optimize storage.
• Set up backups, replication, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with developers to define schema and indexing strategies.
• Enforce security policies, manage user access, and conduct audits.

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production.
• Strong SQL proficiency and query optimization.
• Experience with backup, replication, and high‑availability setups.
• Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure Database).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of containerized database deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Automation scripting with Bash or Python.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for database changes.
