About the role
Keystone Digital is building a next‑gen mobile experience that syncs tightly with its backend services for an upcoming app store launch. As a Platform Engineer you will bridge the mobile front‑end and cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless deployment pipelines and reliable runtime environments. This short‑term engagement focuses on aligning CI/CD, container orchestration, and monitoring to support rapid feature rollout.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a GitHub Actions workflow that builds, tests, and deploys the mobile API to AWS Fargate within 48 hours of code merge.
- Containerize the new "PulseSync" service using Docker, define Helm charts, and push images to ECR.
- Configure Terraform modules for VPC, RDS, and IAM roles to isolate the app‑store environment.
- Set up Prometheus‑Grafana dashboards to track latency and error rates for the mobile‑backend bridge.
- Automate blue‑green deployments with Argo CD, reducing rollback time to under 5 minutes.
- Collaborate with the iOS/Android team to embed feature flags via LaunchDarkly for staged releases.
Must-have skills
- Strong experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS, IAM).
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Deep knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Hands‑on CI/CD pipeline creation using GitHub Actions or similar.
- Understanding of mobile backend integration patterns.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with LaunchDarkly feature flag management.
- Experience with serverless functions (AWS Lambda) for auxiliary tasks.
