About the role

We are modernizing the performance and reliability of our customer‑facing services. The PHP Developer will refactor core APIs, optimize database queries, and implement robust caching strategies to ensure fast, stable user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing PHP codebase and identify bottlenecks
• Rewrite critical service endpoints for speed and scalability
• Design and integrate Redis or Memcached layers where appropriate
• Refactor legacy MySQL queries and add proper indexing
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability
• Collaborate with front‑end and DevOps teams to align deployment pipelines

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of PHP development, strong OOP practices
• Deep experience with Laravel framework
• Advanced MySQL optimization and schema design
• Proficiency in implementing caching mechanisms
• Test‑driven development mindset

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker containers
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of queue systems such as RabbitMQ
