About the role

Vertex Analytics is preparing a coordinated mobile and backend release for an upcoming app store launch. We need a detail‑oriented QA Software Tester to ensure feature parity, performance stability, and seamless integration across platforms. This part‑time contract will focus on test design, execution, and reporting for both iOS/Android clients and associated APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain manual and automated test cases for mobile UI flows and backend endpoints.
• Execute regression suites on new builds, track defects, and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and reproduce issues.
• Validate data synchronization between the app and server, ensuring consistency.
• Generate concise test reports and metrics for stakeholders.

Must-have skills

• Proven experience in QA testing for mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API testing.
• Ability to write and maintain Selenium scripts.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for test automation.
• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Understanding of app store submission guidelines.
