About the role

LumenWorks is launching an integration project that will link its billing system, CRM, and a suite of internal APIs. We need a Cybersecurity Analyst to embed security controls throughout the data flows and ensure compliance with industry standards. This part-time role focuses on risk assessment, threat modeling, and secure design for the integration pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling for billing‑CRM‑API interactions and document mitigation strategies.
• Review and harden API authentication, encryption, and access controls.
• Perform vulnerability scanning on Linux‑based services and remediate findings.
• Collaborate with developers to embed security testing into CI pipelines.
• Provide concise security guidance and training to the integration team.

Must-have skills

• Hands‑on experience securing API integrations and data in transit.
• Proficiency with Python for scripting security checks and automation.
• Strong knowledge of Linux hardening, firewalls, and logging.
• Ability to produce clear threat models and risk assessments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with billing platforms or CRM security best practices.
• Experience with cloud security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP.
