AWS Cloud Engineer for Cloud Landing Zone

About the role

We are preparing a major app store launch that tightly couples mobile front‑ends with backend services. NovaForge Tech needs an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and fine‑tune the cloud environment that will power the new release.

Key responsibilities

• Architect scalable VPCs, subnets, and security groups for mobile‑backend traffic
• Deploy CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and Docker containers
• Configure auto‑scaling groups and Lambda functions for burst workloads
• Monitor performance with CloudWatch and set up alerts for latency spikes
• Collaborate with mobile developers to ensure API latency meets SLA

Must-have skills

• Hands‑on experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
• Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration
• Strong DevOps mindset with infrastructure‑as‑code (CloudFormation or Terraform)
• Linux system administration and scripting

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile backend patterns (REST, GraphQL)
• Familiarity with serverless frameworks
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools beyond AWS (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
