About the role

BlueSky Ventures is launching a brand‑new SaaS product from scratch. We need an Android Developer to shape the mobile experience, work closely with a remote‑first team, and deliver a polished app that aligns with our cloud‑native backend.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core Android features using Kotlin and modern Jetpack libraries
• Collaborate with product, UI/UX, and backend engineers to define APIs and data flows
• Write unit and UI tests to ensure high code quality and stability
• Optimize performance and memory usage for a smooth user experience
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development
• Experience with Android SDK, Jetpack Compose or XML UI, and RESTful integration
• Understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and dependency injection
• Ability to work autonomously in a distributed team

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps
• Knowledge of Firebase services or similar backend platforms
• Experience with app analytics and A/B testing frameworks
