Full-Stack Laravel Developer for SaaS Product (Subscription Billing Tool)

We’re a small bootstrapped SaaS company building a subscription billing + customer portal tool for coaches and digital creators (think Stripe + Memberstack alternative, but simpler and cheaper). Current stack: Laravel 11 + FilamentPHP + Livewire + Tailwind + MySQL + Stripe/Paddle.

The app is live, paying customers, but we need a strong Laravel dev to own new features, bug fixes, refactoring, and scaling work. This is a real product role — not agency client work. Perfect if you love Laravel, write clean code, and want to join a tiny team that ships fast and pays well.

Responsibilities

Build new features (multi-currency, team accounts, dunning, EU VAT, webhooks)

Refactor legacy code & improve tests (we’re increasing coverage)

Fix bugs & handle customer-reported issues

Optimize performance & database queries

Integrate new payment gateways or tools (Paddle, Lemon Squeezy)

Work on Filament admin panel customizations

Occasional frontend work (Livewire components + Alpine.js)

Code reviews & deploy via Forge/Envoyer

Help plan sprints (we use Linear)

Required Skills

Expert Laravel (routes, Eloquent, queues, events, policies)

Livewire + FilamentPHP experience

MySQL + Redis basics

Git + clean, testable code

Fluent English (we’re a small team, communication matters)

Nice to Have

Experience with SaaS billing tools (Stripe Billing, Paddle, Chargebee)

Located in Philippines, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, or Eastern Europe

Laravel Forge/Vapor/Envoyer knowledge

TALL stack mastery (Tailwind, Alpine, Livewire, Laravel)

PHPUnit + Pest testing

Worked on subscription/recurring revenue products

Typical Weekly/Monthly Tasks

25–35 hours per week

Feature development: 15–25 hrs

Bugs + support tickets: 5–10 hrs

Refactoring + tech debt: 5 hrs

Working Schedule

Flexible, but need ~4–6 hrs overlap with US Eastern Time (we’re remote but US-based customers).

Payment Structure

Standard Tier – $2,000/month (25 hrs/week, features + bugs)

Senior Tier – $2,800/month (30 hrs/week, includes refactoring + planning)

Lead Tier – $3,500/month (35 hrs/week, full ownership + architecture decisions)

Paid on the 1st + 15th via Wise or PayPal.
