Senior Computer Vision Engineer Needed for ML Model Integration

About the role

NovaForge Tech is building a unified data flow platform that ties together billing, CRM, and internal services. As a Computer Vision Engineer you will embed visual data extraction into this integration, enabling automated invoice scanning and receipt processing. The project, code‑named "VisionBridge", will serve as the visual backbone for the end‑to‑end workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement OCR pipelines using Tesseract and OpenCV to extract fields from invoices and receipts.
• Develop RESTful endpoints in Python Flask that expose extracted data to the billing and CRM APIs.
• Create a Docker‑based CI/CD workflow that runs unit and integration tests for the VisionBridge module.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to map visual output to existing data schemas and ensure data consistency.
• Optimize model inference latency to meet sub‑second response times for real‑time processing.
• Document the visual integration architecture and produce a hand‑off guide for the DevOps team.

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming, especially with OpenCV, Tesseract, and Pillow.
• Experience building and scaling REST APIs for ML services.
• Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration for model deployment.
• Solid understanding of image preprocessing, data augmentation, and OCR error handling.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and API specs.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS Rekognition or Google Vision AI.
• Background in MLOps tools such as MLflow or Kubeflow.
