About the role

Pinecrest Systems is preparing a new app store launch and needs a Python Backend Developer to align mobile front‑ends with backend services. You will design and implement APIs that support real‑time data sync and secure user authentication for the upcoming release.

Key responsibilities

• Build scalable RESTful APIs using Django and PostgreSQL
• Integrate mobile SDK hooks for data exchange and push notifications
• Optimize database queries and implement caching strategies
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define contract specifications

Must-have skills

• Proficient in Python and Django framework
• Strong experience designing REST APIs
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL performance tuning
• Familiarity with version control and CI pipelines

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile backend services (e.g., Firebase)
• Understanding of OAuth2 and JWT authentication
• Exposure to Docker or containerized deployments
