Key Responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of documents, including technical, marketing, and web content, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Conduct thorough research to ensure that translations are culturally relevant, idiomatic, and consistent with the target audience and context.
• Collaborate with project managers, linguists, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Participate in quality control processes, including proofreading, editing, and reviewing translations to ensure that they meet the required standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to continuously improve translation quality and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain glossaries, style guides, and other linguistic resources to support translation projects and ensure consistency across languages and projects.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving translation processes, tools, and workflows, contributing to the ongoing development and refinement of our translation services.
• Work effectively in a team environment, building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners, and demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
• Utilize computer-assisted translation tools, such as CAT software, to facilitate the translation process and improve productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including administrative tasks, reporting, and special projects, to support the smooth operation of the translation department.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion, adhering to our company's data protection policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions, processes, and technologies that enhance our translation services and drive business growth.

Requirements

• Fluency in the target language, with excellent writing, reading, and comprehension skills.
• A degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience and qualifications.
• Proven experience in translation, preferably in a professional setting, with a strong portfolio of translated work.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners.
• Proficiency in computer-assisted translation tools, such as CAT software, and other relevant technologies.
• Strong research skills, with the ability to conduct thorough research and analysis to support translation projects.
• Cultural competence and sensitivity, with an understanding of the cultural nuances and differences that impact translation and communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn and grow.
• Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality translations that meet the required standards.
