About the role

Summit Digital is modernizing its customer‑facing platforms to achieve sub‑second response times and five‑nine availability. As a Cloud Solutions Architect you will lead the performance and reliability overhaul of the Nimbus Pulse module, a core service that streams real‑time analytics to end users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a multi‑region, auto‑scaling architecture on AWS using EKS, ALB, and Global Accelerator.
• Refactor existing CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions to incorporate canary deployments and automated rollback.
• Introduce Terraform modules for immutable infrastructure and enforce policy-as-code with Sentinel.
• Set up comprehensive observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) to surface latency and error budgets.
• Conduct load‑testing campaigns with k6, identify bottlenecks, and apply caching strategies via ElastiCache.
• Mentor the internal DevOps team on best practices for IaC, container security, and SRE principles.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in AWS services (EKS, RDS, S3, IAM).
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm chart management.
• Extensive experience writing Terraform code for production workloads.
• Strong background in CI/CD automation, monitoring, and incident response.
• Architectural design skills focused on performance, resilience, and cost optimization.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with serverless patterns (Lambda, Step Functions).
• Experience with chaos engineering tools such as Gremlin.
