The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in Unity and game development principles, with experience in developing games for various platforms. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, managing your time effectively to meet project deadlines. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality games using Unity, ensuring they meet the company's quality and performance standards.
• Collaborate with the art team to implement game assets, such as 3D models, textures, and animations, into the game environment.
• Work with the design team to implement game mechanics, levels, and user interface elements, ensuring a cohesive and engaging player experience.
• Utilize Unity's physics engine, graphics capabilities, and other features to create realistic and immersive game worlds.
• Optimize game performance for different platforms, including mobile devices, PCs, and consoles.
• Manage and resolve technical issues, troubleshooting problems and implementing fixes as needed.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase, ensuring it remains clean, efficient, and well-documented.
• Collaborate with QA to identify and resolve bugs, ensuring the game meets the required quality standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation for game development processes and technical aspects of the project.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Unity features, best practices, and industry trends, applying this knowledge to improve game development processes and outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of the company's technology stack, including tools, pipelines, and workflows.
• Participate in team meetings, providing updates on project progress and discussing technical aspects of the game.
• Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and experience to help them grow in their roles.
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to test new game ideas and technologies.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Unity and C#, with experience in game development for PC, console, or mobile platforms.
• Experience with Unity's physics engine, graphics capabilities, and other core features.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in team environments.
• Ability to manage time effectively, meeting project deadlines and milestones.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
• Knowledge of game development principles, including game design, user experience, and player psychology.
• Experience with debugging and troubleshooting tools, such as Unity's built-in debugger and visual studio.
• Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Experience with other programming languages, such as Javascript, HTML, and CSS, is a plus.
• Certifications in Unity or game development are desirable.
