Part-Time Virtual Assistant for E-commerce Business

We are a growing e-commerce business selling home decor and lifestyle products, and we're looking for a reliable Part-Time Virtual Assistant to support our daily operations. This is a long-term position (6+ months) with potential for growth.


**About the Role:**

As our Virtual Assistant, you'll work approximately 20-25 hours per week, helping us manage various administrative and customer-facing tasks. You'll be an essential part of our team, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.


**Key Responsibilities:**


**Customer Service (40% of time):**

- Respond to customer inquiries via email and chat within 24 hours

- Handle order tracking, returns, and exchange requests

- Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly

- Update customers on order status and shipping information


**Administrative Support (30% of time):**

- Manage and organize email inbox using Gmail

- Schedule appointments and manage calendar

- Data entry and database maintenance

- Create and update spreadsheets for inventory tracking

- File organization in Google Drive and Dropbox


**E-commerce Operations (20% of time):**

- Process orders and update order statuses in Shopify

- Monitor inventory levels and alert team when stock is low

- Upload new products with descriptions and images

- Update product pricing and availability


**Social Media Assistance (10% of time):**

- Schedule posts on Instagram and Facebook using Buffer

- Respond to comments and direct messages

- Basic community engagement


**Requirements:**


**Must Have:**

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

- 2+ years of experience as a Virtual Assistant or in customer service

- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive)

- Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify preferred, or WooCommerce/Amazon)

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Reliable internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps)

- Availability to work during US business hours (EST timezone) for at least 4 hours daily

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


**Nice to Have:**

- Experience with Zendesk or similar helpdesk software

- Basic knowledge of Canva for simple graphics

- Familiarity with social media management tools

- Previous experience in e-commerce or retail industry

- Knowledge of basic SEO principles


**Work Schedule:**

- Part-time: 20-25 hours per week

- Flexible hours, but must be available during core US business hours (9 AM - 1 PM EST)

- Monday to Friday (weekends off)

- Some flexibility for personal appointments with advance notice
